Bob Dudics and I started our
day at the Viking Festival in
Ashville, OH. It was...
interesting.... :)
(For more details, just ask.)
Since it only took an hour to see
everything at the festival, we
decided to go to the Capitol
for a more impressive day.
We joined a group of school kids
for the last tour of the day.

Because the Capitol was built
pre-electricity, much natural
light was included in the
original architecture.
This skylight once was
open to the outside.

I have to say I found it interesting
that PINK was a masculine color
at the time of the completion of
the Statehouse. Because red
was regal but paints couldn't
be mixed to represent that dark
of a pigment, much of the Capitol
is painted, as it was originally,
in shades of light blue and pink.

in the center to the number of
points. Click on the photo to see
if you can find replaced marble.
(HINT: it's grey.)
